***UPDATE!!!***

Hi Everyone. A lot has been happening here at Different By Design Danes! So we got one of our kennels up & that is only the beginning! And besides that we have our new addition as you know, Maggie Mae!!!! it has been snowing here last month & this month, I don't think Tx. has ever seen this much snow OMG or should I say OMD (Oh my dogs!) lol :D I have done quite a bit of updating on my website www.annamclain.com I hope you will check out the many pages I have created for your viewing pleasure ;) I will keep you updated! WOW I havent updated in forever! Things have been busy busy busy here! We got a new Great Dane!!!!!!!!! Maggie Mae, King's momma! a Blue Brindlequin Great Dane! She was my Christmas/Bday presnt :) Needless 2 say i cried when I found out. PLEASE check out my website as I am adding new stuff daily! Also as you know with a lot of dogs, comes a lot of mess lol... & were washing blankets & dog bedding weekley if not more, depends on who's been laying out in the dirt/grassy area ha! So if you have some old blankets or towels that you don't want anymore let us know ;) Im attaching a pic of Maggie Mae 8-) As well as a link to my website!

Maverick--Donations

Hi Everyone, I am posting this for our breeder who we got King from, one of her dogs is in desparate need: Unfortunately two things happened to Maverick the same day/evening.....
he was playing in the yard with another Dane and got T-boned at full speed. We brought him inside to evaluate him for the night.
I let him outside to potty in a small dog yard and I guess he tried jumping the fence because when I went to get him his collar was caught on a support rod at the top of the fence and he was just laying there. We've took him to A&M and after 5 hours of tests it was determined he injured his C1 through C5 and needs spinal surgery a.s.a.p.

Update on the Danes

Today the puppies had their first kiddie pool time they are too cute in it & for those who are newbies with danes, you will find they are passionate about the water =) We weighed them today & she had gained a pound and King has gained 3!! I love them soo!! We bought a 36 inch exercise pen because Stella figured out how to climb/jump the other...as I type right now they are snuggled together in their back room where the pen along with the crate is. Next week King goes & gets his second round of puppy shots & Stella has already gotten her second round. I have been working on the "sit" with Stella Bleu & she's sooo smart, she knows when she hears the "clicker" & sits, she gets praise/toy. King not some much the brains of the operation bless his heart, his only 8 weeks and Stella is 10 weeks so you can't blame him :) All the puppies & StarBuck are on Blue Buffalo food now they LOVE it...and that's a plus with a dane because boy are they picky eaters!!! I am attaching a picture of their kiddie pool experience!

Hi,
I know I have not posted in a while, but I have been busy with puppies!!! We just got King our brindle great dane last weekend & yesterday we got Stella Bleu...our Blue Brindle Mantle female dane!!! StarBuck,my Mastapeake & I our adjusting to life with puppies running around the house. When they nap, we nap haha :D Stella is a doll she slept with me through the night NO accidents YAY!! & she did not have any accidents the whole trip home from picking her up taht's a big plus!! King adores her & STarBuck is playing like he's a puppy again!!!! I am attaching some pictures of them =)
